About Fluid Delfection Technologies

Fluid Deflection Technologies is a privately owned company specializing in design of Tungsten Carbide Jet Nozzles for Oilfield Drill Bits. The Company is owned by Butch Dickey. Mr. Dickey has 40 years experience with Oilfield Drill Bits. Currently Halliburton Drill Bits has an exclusive contract for use of FDT products.

FDT patents use internal geometry and Non standard Carbide Grades to allow smaller orifice sizes to become “non-plugging”. As long as the main orifice of a nozzle is open, then the smaller orifice cannot be plugged. Our products have been tested by the University of Cincinnati’s Gas Dynamics and Propulsion Laboratory.
